Based on an extraordinary true story,
Augusta is a playful and provocative portrait of power.
Set in Late Antiquity,
as the Roman Empire totters on the edge,
it tells the story of Honoria, sister of the Emperor.
Though born into privilege
and bestowed with the prestigious title of Augusta,
Honoria remains deeply dissatisfied.
As a woman in Rome,
she knows real power can never be hers.
Always preferred will be her stupid, stupid, stupid little brother!
So, she sets in motion the most audacious of plans.
